STATE RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS
….will be held at SOPAC (Homebush) over the weekend 16-17 November. For information about the relays, see: State Relays. Entry is open to athletes in the U8 – U17 age groups and “relays” cover both track and field events. If you’re interested in participating, drop an Email to Championships Officer Leanne Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate Athlete’s name, Age Group and what Event(s) you’d be interested in. Teams need to be organised in advance and registered by the club.
….will be held at the Sylvania Waters Athletics Track over the period 13 – 15 December 2019 for Athletes in the u7 – u17 age groups. u7 – u12 may nominate for up to 4 events each and u13 – u17 for up to 6 events. STGLAC may enter up to 5 athletes in a given event/age group. Where in excess of this have nominated, selection will generally be based on merit. To nominate, log on to the family portal (the “Family Log In” button on the website) and click on “Nominations”. A Parent of each athlete nominating will be expected to perform a duty (typically 2 hours) at the Carnival. If more information needed, contact Leanne at email@example.com. PARENT OFFICIATING WORKSHOPS
At club level, “officiating” is in large part the responsibility of parent helpers. To hear what’s involved, it’s important you attend one of the following (free) “Parent Officiating Workshops”. These will be practical sessions demonstrating the various Athletics Events and explaining the key requirements for officiating at these events. Note: You’ll find further helpful information on our Parent Helpers page.

Please collect your Uniform & Registration number / Uniform patches during these collection windows. The number and patches need to be fitted to the uniform (as described in the Handbook) before Friday Night competition.
