The Zone Championships is the first interclub carnival in the pathway:   Zone –>  Region  –> State Track & Field Championships.   It is a carnival in which the 7 clubs in the “Southern Metropolitan Zone” (SMZ) come together in competition.  The best performers at Zone will earn entry to the Region 8 Championships.

To enter the Zone Carnival (U7 and above), you must fill out and submit the Nomination form below (one per athlete) by no later than TBA, AND you must pay the Fee and Bond amounts listed below by bank transfer to St George Little Athletics (BSB:   112-879, Acc:    020 079 422) promptly after submitting your nomination form and no later than TBA:

Fees:                    $20 per Athlete, AND
Bond:                  $50 per Family (refundable, subject to conditions).

Parent Helper Duty is mandatory for each Family.   Refund of the Bond is dependent on a parent doing a duty at those carnivals in the championship program at which their child competes.    (Typically, this means Zone, or Zone & Region.)  Please choose your signup duty at Zone here:    Link TBA                     [Get in quick if you want to find a convenient event at which to assist.]

The Region Championships is the next level of carnival above Zone.   Entry to the Region Carnival is competitive – and based on the performances achieved at the Zone Carnival.    We are located in Region 8, which comprises our Zone plus the “Inner City Zone” (ICZ).   The best performers at Region gain entry to the State Track  & Field Championships, at which representatives from all 8 Regions in NSW compete.

As with the Zone Carnival, it is mandatory that an adult from each family assists at an event.   Use the ‘Signup‘ link above to choose the event at which you will assist.   If you can assist at more than one event that will be greatly appreciated and will likely assist the smooth operation of the carnival.

Kumon State Combined Carnival

This very popular carnival is structured quite differently from the Zone/Region/State parthway.  Athletes participate in ALL of the running, throwing, jumping events on offer for their Age Group.  Performances for all events are allocated points based on an LANSW point-score system.  Points are then added together to get a total for that athlete.
