Parent Duties
Ordinarily, parents of athletes in Age Groups 6s and above are required to assist in the conduct of the athletics program by performing a “Duty” on a set number of occasions during our Friday night meets.
A family may be exempted from the obligation to undertake parent duties at Friday Meets by the payment of a fee of $200 (plus platform charges).
To pay this fee, the parent registers him/herself, via the Registration portal, either at the time of registering their child(ren), or separately. This is achieved as follows (after accessing the registration portal):
- Click the New Member button (assuming you, the parent, do not have a National Member ID)
- Fill in your Basic Details (name, DOB, Gender)
- Select the ‘membership type’: “Parent – Duty Exempt”
- Provide your contact details – be sure to use the same contact Email address provided for your children when they are/were registered
- Answer other questions where necessary and complete the transaction.
Note that to be exempted from parent duties, you must complete the above parent registration PRIOR to the first Friday meet of the season.
Important: All families, including those who choose to be “duty exempt”, must still complete and submit the WWCD & PDC Forms (available on the How to Join page).
